Universal Security was founded in 1992 by Mark Lundgren, a retired police officer. Lundgren began as a patrolman in high crime areas, conducting extensive investigations and surveillance. Throughout his career, Lundgren worked in various police department roles, honing skills that would help him create Universal Security. Today, the company provides professional security services, certification programs, and training classes to a wide variety of clients.

Universal Security takes pride in nurturing long-standing client relationships. We are honored to have been the trusted security partner of Target Corporation for 30 years and of Midway and O'Hare International Airport for 17 years. For nearly a decade, we have safeguarded the Gold Coast community, and we’ve provided our services to CPS Charter Schools, department stores, and to various neighborhood patrols.
