Chicago retailers amp up security for NATO Summit
When it was announced that Chicago would be hosting the 2012 NATO Summit, a lot of Chicago’s retailers got nervous. Protesters at previous NATO Summits have wreaked havoc on their host cities costing millions in damages. While hosting the summit is an honor, Chicagoans love their city and wanted to protect it from the potential threat from violent protesters. For weeks prior to the summit, Universal Security proactively met with its current retail and commercial clients advising them how best to prepare for the different scenarios that could occur during the summit. During the NATO summit, Universal Security increased the number of security personnel at key locations that had the greatest likelihood of being targeted by the unruly crowd.
The added security provided relief and peace of mind to the clients and their staff.
